TYPOLOGY OF WALL OPENINGS
DESIGN RESEARCH OF WALL PLANES THAT STIMULATE MOVEMENT AND EMBODIED LEARNING
The project was a “Embodied Learning HUB” in a typical Dutch 30’s school building. The programs consist of (flex)workplaces, meeting rooms, canteen and relaxation spaces, showrooms for interactive digital projection products. How can we use the dividing classroom walls as a stimulant to change the enclosed environment into an embodied learning environment?
The research focused on creating a typology of wall openings which maximizes the spatial quality of openness, movement and embodied learning.
